Rugged, warm, and windproof—our heavyweight flannel shirts are a staple of every Iron Heart fall/winter collection. This season, we’re introducing the new “Rider’s” cut, designed with heavy-duty hardware and a roomier, boxy fit for heavy layering. Built for the open road, features include a two-way zipper beneath a snap-fastened over-placket for enhanced wind resistance, large secure chest pockets, and heavy-duty copper snaps throughout—offering motorcyclists the warmth and comfort of a flannel, with the functionality of a jacket.

In our efforts to explore more sustainable alternatives to the Aspero cotton used for our traditional ultra heavy flannel (UHF) shirts, this model is cut from a new 10oz Japanese heavyweight flannel. Softer and slightly lighter than its Aspero counterparts, we’ve heavily brushed the reverse of the fabric to increase thickness and improve heat retention. While the 10oz weave means we’re not classing this as a UHF shirt, weight isn’t everything—this fabric still delivers the warmth, comfort and rugged characteristics that our heavyweight winter flannels are renowned for.
