Vol II: Samurai Jeans - Signature Paint Exclusive For Limbro

Samurai Jeans Exclusive Arcuate Collection for Limbro

Following the first release earlier this year, featuring the Red Arcuate representing Fire and the Yellow Arcuate, Samurai Jeans returns to Limbro with the second batch of its special arcuate collection, created exclusively for Limbro.

This time, three distinctive expressions come together — Yellow, Blue, and White — each carrying its own story, character, and meaning.

Yellow Paint Arcuate — The Heritage

A tribute to the golden era of denim.

The Yellow Arcuate is more than a distinctive detail. Its color pays homage to the golden era of denim during the 1940s and 1950s — a period that helped shape the foundation of modern denim culture.

During this era, denim became deeply connected with workwear, American culture, and everyday life. The arcuate itself became one of the most recognizable details associated with vintage denim.

Following the previous release featuring the Yellow Paint Arcuate, this time Samurai Jeans introduces the S510XX 21oz Regular Straight.

The cut is slightly roomy around the waist and gently tapers towards the hem. Neither too wide nor too narrow, the silhouette carries a distinctly vintage character while remaining easy to wear.

For the fabric, Samurai Jeans’ strongest 21oz selvedge denim is woven using thick 3.6-count slubby yarn on a vintage shuttle loom. The result is an exceptionally heavy denim that combines substantial weight with pronounced texture and excellent fading potential.

Blue Paint Arcuate — Water

An element of movement and continuity.

Inspired by the philosophy of The Book of Five Rings (Go Rin No Sho), the 1645 treatise on martial arts and strategy written by legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, the five elements offer a deeper perspective on nature, movement, and the way we approach life.

Among them, water represents movement, adaptability, and continuous flow.

The Blue Arcuate brings this idea into the design of Samurai Jeans, creating a subtle connection between the painted arcuate and the deep indigo denim beneath it.

Like water, denim is constantly changing. Through wear, washing, and time, its character gradually evolves, revealing a story unique to the wearer.

For this release, the Blue Arcuate is paired with the Samurai S05010XXII 15oz Regular Straight.

Crafted from 15oz Otokogi denim, the fabric is woven with slubby #6 cotton yarn, retaining small traces of cotton waste within the yarn to create an unmistakably rough and irregular texture.

Woven on vintage shuttle looms and pushed to their limits, the fabric develops a rugged surface with plenty of character. The uneven weave and textured yarn are designed to produce the kind of high-contrast fading that Samurai Jeans enthusiasts have come to appreciate.

The jeans are finished with an exclusive leather patch inspired by the classic Samurai aesthetic, featuring the legendary warriors Musashi and Kojiro beneath the moon, surrounded by pine trees, a Shinto torii gate, and the majestic silhouette of Mt. Fuji.

Built with a raw, uncompromising character, these jeans are made to evolve with wear — developing unique fades and a personal story over time.

White Paint Arcuate — The Space That Holds All

The space in which everything can exist.

Rather than being simply another element, space provides the room in which everything else can exist, move, and come together.

Without space, fire, water, earth, and wind cannot exist.

The White Arcuate expresses this idea through contrast and simplicity. Set against the deep indigo denim, the white paint creates a clear visual presence while leaving room for the character of the denim itself to emerge over time.

For this expression, Samurai Jeans presents the S511XX 19oz Slim Tapered.

The denim is crafted from Samurai Jeans’ 19oz Kiwami denim, woven on a vintage shuttle loom using slubby #5 yarn for the warp and #4 yarn for the weft. The combination creates an exceptionally hard and rugged texture.

Among Samurai Jeans’ original fabrics, Kiwami denim has one of the most aggressive textures and is built to produce incredible fades. Dense, coarse, and full of character, the fabric becomes increasingly distinctive through extended wear.

The exclusive leather patch reflects the character of the denim itself. The crescent moon represents the slim fit, while the larger arms of the warriors symbolize the substantial 19oz weight.

Other details include an exclusive flasher, iron sunrise buttons, copper coin-shaped rivets, and the “Impermanence” jacquard slake.

Three Arcuates, One Story

From Fire to Water, and finally to the Space that holds all things together, this second release of the Samurai Jeans exclusive arcuate collection for Limbro brings together three distinct expressions of denim and Japanese philosophy.

Yellow carries the spirit of heritage and the golden era of denim.

Blue reflects the movement and adaptability of water, changing continuously through wear, washing, and time.

White represents space — the quiet element that allows everything else to exist, move, and evolve.

Each arcuate tells a different story, but beneath them lies the same philosophy: denim is never truly finished.

It begins with the fabric, shaped by the loom, the yarn, and the craftsmanship behind it. From there, time, movement, and wear take over. Creases deepen, indigo fades, and every mark becomes part of the journey.

Created exclusively for Limbro, this second release continues Samurai Jeans’ tradition of exploring denim through distinctive details, Japanese craftsmanship, and ideas drawn from history and philosophy.

Three colors.
Three expressions.
One evolving story.
